Carolyn Lopatin’s Traditional Charoset and a must for snacking all Pesach!

2 apples chopped or shredded

½ cup ground walnuts

1 Tablespoon honey

Lemon zest from one lemon

Lemon juice from the zested lemon

1/8 cup sweet red wine

1 Teaspoon cinnamon

Add all ingredients together in a bowl and mix.

Tasting is vital so that the flavor is to the “Chef’s” liking.

Make sure it is not too sweet and has a good lemony flavor coming through.

If it is not moist enough add some more wine, if too wet add more ground nuts. If you like it a bit sweeter add some more honey.
