NOVEMBER 29, 2021, WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Pro-Israel America (PIA) and Pro-Israel America PAC, the largest bipartisan pro-Israel PAC in the country, announced new endorsements for six pro-Israel candidates – four Democrats and two Republicans.
“With the first midterm primaries right around corner, Pro-Israel America is working hard to ensure that the 118th Congress reflects broad, bipartisan support for the U.S.-Israel relationship. Today we are announcing six newly endorsed candidates who are all proven leaders in Congress,” said PIA executive director Jeff Mendelsohn. “We will continue to bring the power of the pro-Israel grassroots community – who recently helped propel Shontel Brown to victory in Ohio – to help every candidate who values the U.S.-Israel relationship cross the finish line victorious.”
Pro-Israel America endorsed 6 House candidates, including Representatives Shontel Brown (D-OH), Mike Levin (D-CA), Ted Lieu (D-CA), Chris Pappas (D-NH), David Valadao (R-CA), and Ann Wagner (R-MO) which brings Pro-Israel America’s total list of 2022 Congressional endorsements to 75, including 43 Democrats and 32 Republicans. Rep. Chris Pappas will be listed as a key race, given his anticipated highly competitive election in November.
Pro-Israel America’s 170,000 and growing grassroots membership base proved during the 2020 election cycle that support for the U.S.-Israel relationship continues to run deep in both parties and makes for good politics as well as good policy. Pro-Israel America helped elect 70 pro-Israel members of Congress in 2020 including 39 Democrats and 31 Republicans, and just this month helped push pro-Israel Democrat Shontel Brown past the victory line during the very competitive OH-11 primary. More than 90 percent of Pro-Israel America’s endorsed candidates in the November 2020 elections won their congressional races. In total, Pro-Israel America raised over $3 million for pro-Israel candidates in the 2020 election cycle, propelling them to victory in closely contested elections.
