Frederica Wilson

D-FL-24

Wilson is serving her seventh term representing Miami and she has been committed to strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship.  Wilson backed legislation that blocks the Iranian regime from obtaining unmanned drones and cosponsored a bill that incentivizes further Arab nations to enter the Abraham Accords, and she was a signatory on a letter promoting continual aid to Israel without further conditions or reductions. In 2020, she signed another letter advocating that the administration reject the ICC’s one-sided probes against Israel, and the previous year she backed a resolution opposing the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions campaign.

"Setting aside our partisan differences, Congress has come together once again to vote in a bipartisan fashion to aid Israel during this tumultuous time for the Israeli people. The conflict with Hamas has not only devastated the Middle East but has also sent shockwaves throughout the world with its atrocities, including in my community in South Florida. Hamas seeks to instill fear globally, holding both Israeli and American hostages captive. Today, I stand proud to join my colleagues in voting to allocate resources to assist Israel in combating terrorism in the Middle East and to protect Americans in the region. It is imperative that we remain steadfast in supporting one of our strongest allies, especially during such a critical period, because when Israel is strong, America is strong.”  - Congresswoman Wilson
