In 2018 Lois was selected to serve on the powerful Appropriations Committee where she ensures Israel's funding for Iron Dome. She has signed onto letters that back security assistance to Israel with no additional political conditions and urged the administration to push back against politically motivated investigations of Israel by the International Criminal Court. Additionally, she rejected the Iran Nuclear Deal, voting against the agreement in 2015.
