Marilyn Strickland

D-WA-10

Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland represents Washington’s 10th Congressional District.  She is the first African-American to represent Washington State at the federal level, and one of the first Korean-American women elected to Congress in its history. In the 118th Congress, Strickland sits on the House Armed Services Committee. She serves as whip for the Congressional Black Caucus. In November Strickland signed onto a statement rejecting the use of the phrase “from the river to the sea” - a phrase used by many as a call for the destruction of the state of Israel.

"America's ally and the only democracy in the Middle East is under attack from Hamas terrorists. I condemn this attack, and stand firmly with Israel and its people as it defends itself." - Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland
