Dr. Dexter is running for the open seat to represent Oregon's 5th district. She grew up in home filled with struggles but found safety in her school and her community. She recognizes grit and resilience deeply rooted in the Jewish people. She believes Israel has a right to defend itself, by itself. She believes in a two-state solution established by the Palestinians and Israelis. She is against the BDS movement and abhors antisemitism. She feels Iran poses an existential threat to Israel and a direct threat to America's national security.
