Mike Waltz

Congressman Michael (Mike) Waltz represents Florida's Sixth Congressional District, having been elected in 2018. Before his political career, Waltz served as a Green Beret in the U.S. Army. His military service, which included multiple tours in combat zones, has significantly shaped his perspective on foreign policy and national security issues. In Congress, Rep. Waltz serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. His commitment to Israel's security is reflected in his legislative actions and public statements, including being the lead sponsor of the bipartisan U.S.-Israel PTSD Collaborative Research Act.

“A strong U.S.-Israel relationship is critical—it’s critical to our national security, it’s critical to the region. That ranges from our cultural and historic ties together; our values of democracy, freedom, free press, individual liberties and, of course, defense. I’m a proponent of the qualitative military edge that we’ve committed to our Israeli allies…Bottom line: I think the relationship is critical across the board.” - Congressman Mike Waltz
