Congressman Ritchie Torres represents New York’s 15^th district, based in the Bronx. Torres was first elected in 2020, becoming the first openly gay Afro-Latino Member of Congress. Torres is an outspoken champion of the U.S.-Israel relationship and has introduced and advance policies that support expanding peace between Israel and its neighbors. Torres has forcefully spoken out about the rise of antisemitism in the United States, both before and after the October 7 attacks, and has held leaders to account - even members of his own party. Torres has consistently called for greater restrictions on Iran’s nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles, and unmanned drone capabilities. He has also spoken out against against attempts to restrict aid to Israel.
